• 2024 Volunteer of the Year

    Objective
    To recognize any person or organization whose efforts have made the Chamber a more prosperous organization, fostered membership growth and/or improved membership services.
    Criteria
    - A member in food standing with the Forsyth-Monroe County Chamber of Commerce. - An individual who well represented the Chamber by attending and actively participating in meetings, ribbon cuttings, fundraiser assistance, recruiting, etc. or by their representation of Forsyth and Monroe County at other area/regional/state or national meetings, competitions, etc. - The Candidate should have a fairly consistent "track record" for accomplishments, rather than being honored for a single brief act of merit. A "true" Volunteer is an advocate of the Chamber in their everyday functions. There could be exceptions that are truly outstanding. - Nominee's activities must have occurred during the award year, 2024.
    Selection Process
    The Chamber Chairperson will appoint a committee to review the nominations and select a Volunteer of the Year.
    Recognition
    Recognition in the Chamber’s newsletter, and future marketing materials highlighted on the Chamber’s website as an award recipient recognized at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting. Recognition on the Chamber's social media platforms and the Monroe County Reporter. The winner will receive a Volunteer of the Year award to display.
    Timeline
    Nomination Deadline is - January 5, 2025. Winner will be announced at the Chamber's Annual Meeting held January 17, 2025.
