Forsythia Festival

Starting in 1988, the Forsythia Festival was our community's kick-off to spring! The annual date, the second weekend in March, was set to coincide with the blooming of the Forsythia plants (official plant name is forsythia x intermedia) around the Historic Downtown Square and all over Forsyth. The forsythia plants traditionally bloom yearly at the first sign of a warming trend. The festivities begin in February with a Hello Yellow Kickoff party, which includes our annual Food Truck Frenzy and a 5K. The festivities conclude with the 2-day arts & crafts festival.
